Weather in Guatemala
The term Eternal Spring was probably coined by a writer visiting Guatemala. The weather in Guatemala is so nice that it's hard to imagine living anywhere else on the planet, all things considered. Sea level brings the hottest climates to your flesh but higher elevations is where most people live and the climate is mild, never cold and rarely hot. Heaters and air conditioning are not needed to live comfortably in Guatemala. Antigua has a pleasant year round moderate temperature with just enough rain.
Like all of Central America, Guatemala has 2 distinct seasons. Summer or “Verano” which is the dry season generally running from November to April and winter or "Invierno" which is their rainy season that runs from May through October. The rainy season combined with frequent earth quakes can make traveling conditions sometimes unbearable, but the rainy season offers lower prices along with less tourism.
